Day 5 Okavango-Delta/Gweta

Africa is home to some of the most beautiful sunrises in the world and today (if the weather is just right) you will get to experience the almost too vibrant colours of that quintessential sunrise that we all picture when we think of going on safari to Africa.

Then, tip your heads back, take a deep breath, and feel the mokoro cut through the crystal clear channels as you ride out of the Okavango Delta. The group will take some time to freshen up in Maun (showers everyone!) before embarking in the Lando to Nata where the group will camp under massive baobab trees for the night

Day 6 Nata/Kasane

Travel to Kasane and choose to embark on a river cruise through Chobe NP, home to the largest elephant population in southern Africa.

Drive through the verdant lands between Nata and Kasane. Witness how rain brings life to the salt pans, awakening the dormant fish and aquatic shrimps in the mud. The surrounding grasslands also teem with life and are home to many antelope, which attract a wide variety of predators. Keep your eyes focused as the world passes you by and then reward yourself with a group toast as you camp under the great big African sky

Day 7 Kasane/Victoria Falls

Hop aboard an open wildlife safari vehicle and have an immersive experience in the park focussing on edible plants, visit a Khoisan cave with historic cave paintings, and enjoy close encounters with wildlife, while learning about rhino conservation efforts

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Johannesburg

Falls du ein oder zwei Tage früher ankommst, empfehlen wir, einen Ausflug nach Soweto oder zum Apartheid Museum zu buchen. Bitte vergewissere dich, dass du bis zum Begrüßungstreffen alle erforderlichen Visa für die Reise besorgt hast. Lies dir bitte die Visa-Informationen in den Trip Details durch, damit du weißt, ob du Visa benötigst, und wenn ja, welche. Beachte bitte, dass je nach Nationalität nicht alle Einreisenden in der Lage sein werden, bei der Einreise Visa zu erhalten

Day 2 Johannesburg/Serowe

Today's travel takes us through a very desolate part of central-eastern Botswana. We cross into Botswana and finish the day at a campsite within the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, a unique community-based initiative in wildlife conservation.

Day 3 Serowe/Maun

Day 4 Maun/Okavango-Delta

Wir brechen mit einem Safarifahrzeug auf, um einen spannenden Ausflug (2Tage, 1Nacht) ins Deltagebiet zu unternehmen, und fahren zum „Anlegesteg“, wo wir in ein Mokoro (traditionelles Einbaum-Kanu) steigen, das uns tief in die Deltaregion bringt. Nach ein paar Stunden in einem Mokoro erreichen wir unser einfaches Buschlager.

Day 5 Okavango-Delta/Gweta

Erlebe den Sonnenaufgang über dem Delta und hüpfe dann früh aus den Federn, um mit dem Boot wieder das kristallklare Wasser der Kanäle des Okavango-Deltas hinunterzufahren. Wir kehren nach Maun zurück und haben etwas Zeit, um uns frisch zu machen, bevor wir unsere Reise nach Gweta fortsetzen. Bewundere die hoch aufragenden Baobab-Bäume rund um den heutigen Campingplatz und wage einen Sprung in den Pool, wenn du Abkühlung benötigst

Day 6 Nata/Kasane

Heute fahren wir in den Chobe-Nationalparks, in dem die größte Elefantenpopulation Südafrikas beheimatet ist. Die beste Möglichkeit, einen der Nationalparks von Botswana und die Tausenden von einheimischen Elefanten, Krokodilen und Flusspferden zu bewundern, ist bei Sonnenuntergang eine optionale Bootsfahrt auf dem Fluss Chobe zu unternehmen.

Day 7 Kasane/Victoria Falls

Your accommodation is in Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) and NOT Livingstone (Zambia). Please make sure you have the necessary visa.

Day 8 Victoria Falls

Die Stadt Victoria Falls ist ein toller Ausgangsort, um Naturwunder zu bestaunen und aufregenden Aktivitäten nachzugehen. Komm ganz nah an die gewaltigen Victoriafälle heran (und werde dabei nass vom Sprühnebel) oder erlebe ein Wildwasserrafting-Abenteuer auf dem mächtigen Fluss Sambesi. Wenn du etwas mehr Nervenkitzel liebst, kannst du dich auch bei einem Bungeesprung mit Blick auf die Victoriafälle ins Abenteuer stürzen.

Heute stoßen möglicherweise neue Reisende für den Rest des Abenteuers dazu.
